Sunlight is vital to your body’s ability to produce vitamin D — an essential nutrient that supports cardiovascular health, bone health, and the immune system.

In fact, sunlight and vitamin D3 supplements are the best sources of vitamin D, as the nutrient is relatively uncommon in food. The Harvard School of Health estimates that 1 billion people worldwide have low levels of this nutrient.

Try to get around 10 to 20 minutes of direct sunlight every day.
