It is what penetrates your skin when you're in sunlight and you stop feeling in shaded areas. It's said to be a healing wavelength and is suggested to aid in detoxification.

Benefits of Far Infrared Saunas

  • Far infrared saunas heat frequency matches the body’s heat
  • It's absorbed more quickly
  • It penetrates more deeply into the body, as far as 1.5 to 3 inches into the tissue

Infrared heat is easily absorbed by the body, and it is emitted by the body as well. The human body's optimal light frequency for infrared is 9.4 which is food for absorption and emission. When frequencies of infrared match the frequency of water in the body's cell, it's said that this forces toxins out of the cells, into the bloodstream where they are carried off to be expelled through urine, sweat and feces.
